Indonesian Autumn Adder
that’s a dragon…don’t even try to fight me on this… that’s a fucking dragon
That’s the cutest thing I ever did see
I WANT IT
I have seen this in another color….
Still the only snake to date that I actually like
Jesus Christ in heaven shut the fuck up. First of all. This is not an “Indonesian autumn adder” that’s not even a real common name for any species of snake. This is Atheris hispida, the hairy bush viper. It’s not from Indonesian, it’s from Africa. It does not occur in this color, this photo is photoshopped. All you dumbasses saying you want one and blah blah blah. You can’t have one. And if by some magical miracle you get one, you most likely won’t be able to keep it alive for longer than a few days. Atheris hispida is one of the hardest species to keep alive in captivity and has a 100% death rate. This is due to the fact that the species has never successfully been bred in captivity and the only way to obtain it is to import it from the wild. Where the animal comes in dehydrated and with parasites. They ALWAYS come in with parasites. This is due to the nature of their diet in the wild, which is snails. They also do not readily convert to rodents in captivity so most will not eat unless you have access to snails to try and feed them. The time that the snake stays alive is dependent upon how heavy of a parasite load it comes in with. There have been recorded keepings of up to 2 years in captivity, however this was by professional herpetologist, and is not the norm. The majority of them stay alive for a few weeks to a few months, tops.
